Wagon Wheel

One more day, one more mile, one more season.

Some things were built to keep moving. And even standing still, this one tells you everything about the journey it has made.

Up close and rendered in warm sepia, this old wagon wheel is a portrait of honest work and hard miles. The weathered wood, cracked and worn and carrying the beautiful patina of years spent doing exactly what it was made for. The iron hub at the centre — solid, steadfast, the point around which everything else turns. The spokes radiating outward like a map of every direction this wheel has ever been asked to go.

This is the west in its most elemental form. Not the glamorous version — the real one. The one built by people who got up before dawn and worked until dark and asked nothing more from their equipment than that it hold together one more day, one more mile, one more season.

There is a lesson in that worn and weathered wood that is as relevant today as the day this wheel first rolled across the prairie. Keep moving. Keep showing up. Do the work in front of you with everything you have and trust that the turning itself is enough — that every mile, however hard, is carrying you somewhere worth going.

The wheel that stops turning rusts in a field. The one that keeps going — that one changes everything.
