Meet Dina Sutherland, a fine art equine photographer based near Calgary, Alberta, dedicated to capturing the timeless bond between horse and human.
Story
Those who teach us life lessons are not always humans. Horses have always been a part of my life, thanks to my mom, who ensured I was given every opportunity to work with them. Most days, if I am not working with horses, I am wishing I was.
Horses don’t judge, they don’t gossip and oddly enough they have a special way of helping you work through life’s problems. Growing up with horses taught me responsibility, independence, how to care for others and the value of hard work. My wish is that every kid could be as lucky as me and grow up around horses.
Horses gave me everything and I feel it is my duty to repay them by telling their story so everyone can understand their purpose, appreciate their beauty and respect their relationship with mankind.
Mission
I create fine art equine photography and commissioned horse portraits that showcase the horse's power, beauty and intelligence while celebrating the human partnership. My mission is to awaken the horse lover in all of us — storytelling imagery, shot with purpose and passion, that transforms your space."
